Yes, a new post

If anyone still occasionally checks this site, you will probably be shocked to see a new post up here. The last several months have been extremely busy with school, coaching, youth group, and all - thus the lack of posts, as this is one of the last things on my cluttered mind. But, someone may be out there, lonely, and wondering, just how the boys are doing and you occasionally check back in hope that there is something here. Well, here it is.
Braden is now 3 1/2, and moving quickly towards 4. He is exhibiting much of his personality and is a very creative little boy. He loves Thomas trains, sword fighting, pirates, and wrestling with daddy when he can. He is in Cubbies at church and has done a great job learning his verses, although you might not be able to tell from his escapade during his program - see drop shots video. He is growing up far too fast and always, well, almost always, has something very sweet to say. My favorite is when he pulls me close, puts his arm around me and whispers, "Daddy, I so love you." No matter how difficult the day, these innocent words make it great. It's hard to believe that he is almost ready for school!
Ryan, is growing up quickly too. He just had his first birthday. He grew a quick distaste for baby food, and loves whatever we eat for dinner, etc. I'm glad he's gotten to the point where he can feed himself for the most part. Recently, he has started to do a little walking and standing on his own. He is a sweet boy, but he loves to get into trouble and then try and work his way out of it with a cute face. His favorite activity right now is pulling everything off the shelves and sitting in a pile of books and puzzle pieces. It is an almost hourly routine to put back all he takes out.
Both boys are truly a blessing and they love the kids in our youth group and are loved just as much in return. Braden looks forward to opportunities to go play with "the boys" or just to hang out with his babysitter "Miss Alyssa". It is neat to see how Braden is starting to learn and respond to the truths of Scripture that he learns in church, and also in those moments of discipline. I pray that he remembers these truths as he continues to grow up.
For a more regular check up on their growth, check out their dropshots page at www.dropshots.com/jdharney.
Well, I must go for tonight. It's been good to write again.

Braden is 3!!!!

Happy Birthday to Braden. On Saturday, he turned 3. Grandpa and Grandma Harney came in for the weekend and we went to the zoo and came home and had Thomas cookies that Momma made. He is getting to be such a big boy. More pics are on the DropShots site.

OK, so I've been extremely neglectful in posting . . .

So, as the summer has begun - and with it the summer schedule - things have been busy as usual. Pictures keep getting updated on Drop Shots - i put a new batch in today - Braden is now becoming a big boy and going on the potty, Ryan got his first (much needed) haircut, and Ryan has started eating cereal. Other than those major milestones, things are relatively calm. Check out the pics of the boys. Later.

New Stuff

Well, the school year is winding to a close and things are still busy. The boys are growing up way too fast. Ryan is above the 95th percentile in height and weight. Braden is learning to obey the first time. He decided to christen his room and himself with the air freshener during nap time yesterday. Fortunately, aside from the scare for mom, he is ok and smells great. I updated the Drop Shots site tonight, so there are new pics for all to see. Enjoy.

New Pictures

Check out the new pictures of Ryan and Braden on DropShots. There are some of Braden in his Thomas outfit and some of Ryan wearing Braden's old clothes. Also, see the videos of Braden giving Ryan a wagon ride around the house.

Spring Break is Over. . .

Well, last week was truly a refreshing week. I really enjoyed the time at home with the boys and Diana. We were able to spend the last couple of days at Di's parents. I already miss cuddling in the chair with Ryan and Braden. I'll have some more pictures up on the DropShot site soon. We're star members now so we get unlimited sharing, posting, and other stuff. So I'll probably end up dumping everything there as well as being able to share some longer videos of the boys as they grow up.

Spring Break

Well, here I am on the first official day of Spring Break - it couldn't have come at a better time. I've been struggling with allergies for about 3 weeks now and had little voice left - but now I get to rest it up for the home stretch of the school year. But since I know no one reads this to find out about me - here is a quick update on the boys- they're doing great. Drop Shots is updated with some Easter pics and . . Ryan is awake - gotta run. More Later.
